What is Lumi?
Lumi is a friendly AI assistant from Galveo GmbH. Chat with him, translate, write or improve texts, summarize and brainstorm - in plain words. A little buddy lives in the app and keeps you company.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan lets you chat with Lumi every day, with a daily message limit that resets at midnight (UTC). No credit card needed - and every friend you invite gives you more usage.
What's the difference between Lumi, Lumi Pro and Lumi Max?
Lumi is quick and great for everyday questions. Lumi Pro thinks more deeply - for analysis, long texts and tricky problems - and can think a question through first with Think. Lumi Max is our strongest Lumi for the hardest work. Lumi Pro comes with the Pro and Max plans, Lumi Max with the Max plan.
Where do I open Lumi?
At app.orbitlumi.com - or tap Open Lumi at the top of this page. You can install it as an app on your phone, tablet or computer from there.
Is my data safe?
Your conversations are stored encrypted in the EU and only you can see them. We never sell your data, you can turn on two-factor authentication, and you can export or delete everything at any time in Settings.
What are modes?
Shortcuts for everyday jobs besides the normal chat: Translate, Improve text, Write for me, Reply, Summarize, Proofread, Explain simply, Brainstorm and Social post. Pick one, drop in your text, done.
What is a private chat?
A chat that doesn't appear in your history and is deleted as soon as you leave it - for things you'd rather not keep.
Which languages does Lumi speak?
The app comes in 20 languages, and Lumi understands and answers in many more - just write in the language you prefer.
Are my chats used to train AI?
Only if you allow it with the “Help improve Lumi” setting, and only in de-identified form. You can change that choice at any time in Settings → Privacy.
How does inviting friends work?
Share your personal invite link or send an invitation by email. Every friend who joins and starts chatting gives you more usage on the Free plan for a while.
Can Lumi make mistakes?
Yes. Like every AI, Lumi can be wrong or out of date. Double-check important information, and don't rely on Lumi for medical, legal or financial advice.
Who is behind Lumi?
Lumi is built and operated by Galveo GmbH, a software company based in Cologne, Germany.
How do I cancel Lumi Pro or Lumi Max?
Anytime in Settings → Billing. You keep your plan until the end of the period you've paid for, then your account moves to the Free plan.
